Welcome to the world of sappy, sentimental thrill rides - a Creative EnDEBers specialty - written by Debbie S. Kirchen. This writer's mission is simple: to expand visibility of character driven fiction, written with the distinct momentum I most favor:
Doo-to-do, la-la-la...WTF????
I enjoy playing with my characters, long after a story is completed. There are times when I wish I could give them different experiences.... so, why wouldn't I? As a self published author, they're mine, to play with as I please. I make the rules! I can put them in new circumstances and watch what happens. I can "rewrite history" for them if I want to. Who's going to stop me?
In fact, as of 2021, that's exactly what I'm doing!
My newest stories are suspenseful romances, currently posted on Amazon's Kindle Vella, where I introduce the first in a new collection of deceptively light romantic sagas, featuring characters that are already written into other timelines, and published as such. But now, I'm revisiting each of them and tying them in with the INCE, a secret agency funded by allied nations with shared interest in monitoring black market trade of mass-casualty arms and weapons-grade chemicals. How can one dally with such high stakes, and still manage to fall in love? Good question - you'll have to read these tales for yourself, and see if you don't get caught up in all facets of the budding relationships, along with the growing sense of peril in the periphery of the plots!
I also occasionally post examples of my own version of "researching" for character and story development. Research, in my realm, means having fun sifting through content and sharing what I find (and maybe once in a while offering a clipped commentary). My shares are meant to be useful in some capacity. The definition of useful is subjective, and if you waste too much time here, well... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lo ciento!
I have self-published a couple of paperback novels: Participants of the Project and Images of Silence, both by Debbie S. Kirchen. Check out my author bio to get a sense of what you'd be getting yourself into if you pick up one of my books.
